So, I totally appreciate this article. I feel a bit of welcome solidarity with you-trying to figure out the balance between sharing wild space with the uncontrollable factors surrounding it, all the while trying to wrest food from the ground and the flocks–it’s a battle we try to fight every day! We’re hoping to start bees within the next three years–I know it will be a struggle, but I’ll try to balance the heartbreak with the honey. Thanks for sharing such a realistic, yet hopeful post!
