Great advice, thanks! Homemade, home grown, real food tastes so much better than chemicals-in-a-box food-ish substances marketed to the masses. Due to several food allergies, my family has eaten "simply" for several years. We feel so much better! I've been searching "depression era" recipes lately, only to discover that we've eaten "depression" food all along! Simple, frugal, real.

In your bread recipe, you mention that you put 2 Tbsp. lemon juice into baggies and toss into the freezer. Have you thought about putting fresh lemon juice into ice cube trays, then popping out the whole bunch of cubes to a single freezer bag when they're frozen? That might be easier to deal with. Just take out a juice cube and let it thaw. I used to do this technique when I made my kids' baby food.
