The problem is something too few people are speaking intelligently about.

I was hoping this article was going to be that, too. I’ve produced vegetables every month here in Ohio, but not with much variety or as much success in winter, so I’m trying to learn all I can from others. One of the problems I get is with evening out the work schedule, as August is a huge month for harvesting, but also for planting.

Robert… Here in NE Ohio I use low tunnels in my regular garden beds and a small hoop house with low tunnels inside of it (2 covers, in other words, but no heat). This is enough for some cold-hardy plants. Managing the timing is the bigger issue for me… getting the summer crops out in time to start the fall/winter ones in time. It gets so busy!

I was thinking that this article was going to be about actually growing vegetables for the entire year but its mostly about seed selection. I was hoping you were going to offer up some new kind of year round greenhouse concept that actually worked.
