What does a woman do when her children have left home
and she has access to the Internet? I'll tell you what I did. A writing
career had been waiting in the wings through all the years I was occupied
with other priorities; raising and teaching 3 children and helping to run
our grazing property in remote Western Australia. A friend put me on to a
rural magazine that was looking for new contributors. At the time we had
a serious issue impacting on our livelihood so I approached the editor
with a story idea. He published, and that was the beginning of an
exciting new world of opportunity for me.
Apart from my new 'job', helping on the property and
running the homestead keeps me busy, as well as my position on a Rural
Education committee.
